The museum is located in the Hankou River Beach, with a total building area of 4975 square meters and a height of 42 meters and a total of 7 floors. Among them, more than 4 floors are designed with back-to-desk style, which can form a 3-level 360-degree full-view River platform. Tourists can climb to overlook the two sides of the Yangtze River and overlook the beautiful scenery of the river beach. The overhead floors of the whole building are completely overhead without affecting flood control and flood discharge. The exterior facade of the Yangtze River Museum is decorated with five-bay columnar corridors and three-section towers, which correspond to the style of the Flood Control Monument and the old buildings along the Yangtze River Avenue and form the core landscape of the Yangtze River Cultural Park.
It is reported that the museum's internal exhibition hall is composed of preface hall, main exhibition hall, Experience Hall and scenic spots. Through a large number of precious pictures, videos, objects and other historical materials, combined with realistic paintings, sculptures and other works of art, it reproduces Mao Zedong's history of crossing the Yangtze River many times, demonstrates the grand events of Wuhan's mass crossing of the Yangtze River, as well as Wuhan. Long-standing custom and culture of river crossing. Audiences can not only get instant information through touch screens and automatic induction devices, but also wear virtual reality devices to complete the lifelike experience of crossing the Yangtze River and taking boats.
The museum is divided into seven floors, orderly hall, main exhibition hall, Experience Hall and scenic spot. The exhibition hall includes pictures, videos, wax figures, simulation scenes, etc.
The main exhibition hall is concentrated on the second, third and fourth floors, and the three exhibition halls are the themes of "long-running water strikes", "affection of the Yangtze River" and "making tide along the Yangtze River".
It is worth seeing several huge oil paintings in the museum, one in the entrance hall - "Mao Zedong Wanli Yangtze River Crossing", a huge one. I heard the visitors say, "What a young Chairman Mao!"
Another one is on the third floor, showing the grand occasion of crossing the Yangtze River, seeing the mood surging and exciting.
The river surface is an oil painting, while the shore is a clay sculpture presentation, which reproduces the magnificent scene of crossing the river.
The clay sculpture on the shore is connected with the oil painting to form a whole, and the 3D effect is full. In the oil painting, the 606 green space central high-rise is in the center, and the turtle mountain tower on the right side is also in it.
On the second floor, the exhibition hall "hitting the water for a long time", exhibiting oil paintings, photos and objects, reproduces Mao Zedong's history of crossing the Yangtze River many times, as well as the memorial medals donated by swimmers participating in all previous river crossing festivals.
A corner of the exhibition hall shows Mao Zedong's handwritten song head swimming in a water tune. There is a copy display below, which can sprinkle the experience of "pen and ink".
Apart from the huge oil paintings, the third floor also shows the development history of Wuhan as a "bridge city", as well as the bridge models of Tianxingzhou Yangtze River Bridge, Qingchuan Bridge and Nautilus Yangtze River Bridge, using the "God's perspective" to see the bridges passing every day.
