Guqintai, also known as Yu Botai, was built in the Northern Song Dynasty and was rebuilt in the early years of Qing Jiaqing (AD 1796). It is located on the shore of the beautiful Moon Lake at the foot of the Hanshan Mountain in Hanyang, Hubei Province, east to Guishan and north to Yuehu. It is a famous music and cultural monument in China, a key cultural relics protection unit in Hubei Province, and one of Wuhan's famous cultural relics tourism landscapes. It is known as the “first place in the world”.
According to "Lv's Spring and Autumn" and "Liezi", during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Yu Boya occasionally met the Zhongzi period and played a song "Mountain Flowing Water". Bo's tooth station is a stone platform made of white marble. It is said that it was the place where the piano was played. It is 1.75 meters high. The center of the station is engraved with the square monument and the "Bao Teqin" which are the words of the Qin Dynasty, the calligrapher of the Northern Song Dynasty. The stone platform is surrounded by stone fences, and the slabs are engraved with the reliefs of the "Bearing the Tsai Chin". This is the relic of the Qing Dynasty.
There is a special Guqin Hall in Qintai. The Qintai Taihe Qinshe is located in the Qinyuan opposite the Yinxinwu House in Guqintai. The Guqin Club is set up in the courtyard and is open to the public. It teaches Guqin playing techniques and Guqin knowledge. The environment is elegant. The teachers are excellent, and it is the ideal place for Wuhan to enjoy the guqin and learn the guqin.
The entire building covers an area of 15 acres, the scale is not large, but the layout is very delicate and elegant, retaining the style of the ancient buildings of the year. The main building associations are courtyards, forest gardens, flower beds and tea rooms with distinct levels. The courtyard corridors are folded according to the trend, opening and closing in a virtual and real way, moving in and changing scenery, and reflecting each other. The builders made full use of the topography and the tricks of borrowing the scenery in Chinese garden design, and borrowed the landscape of Guishan Yuehu Lake to form a broad and far-reaching artistic realm.
